Red Necked Tanager

The Ubatuba Area, a beach resort, lays near remnant lowland Atlantic forest that supports some very rare and restricted endemics, including the Red-eyed Thornbird, Squamate Antbird, Slaty Bristlefront, Buff-throated Purpletuft, Fork-tailed Tody-Tyrant, Olive-green Tanager and Black-legged Dacnis.
Many kinds of Tanagers, including Brazilian Tanagers and Hummingbirds, can be easily seen.
